Someday I will recover from the pain that I’ve gone through
they say this was my chance to come alive and start anew
I’ve gotta prove I’m tame like a lion in a cage
cause my nature is wild and that’s not gonna change
I can barely wash all this dirt off my face
I’m a disgrace
and all this could take some time
everything’s gonna be alright
until then I’m alive
enjoy democracy till it’s done
don’t fear, in the end it’s worth the trouble
meanwhile you better calm down
my hands can touch the ceiling when I’m lying on the floor
I planned to move out once I got what I’m still waiting for
I promised to dance in their circus ring
almost blind from the lights and I can’t see a thing
and as Charles D. said it’s a game you can’t win
not a chance without the blue blood within
I’d do it all again
I’d do it one more time
as long as it brings me far away
I’ll never give up trying
to live a humane life
but living’s pretty hard today

Every single member of this band is incredibly skilled in their own right, but I love how much they accentuate each other's talents into these masterful tracks. The whole album is excellent. I'm so happy they were finally able to come to my home state and perform.
Incredible band, can't wait to listen to what comes next. quantumquail

Perhaps a softer, more “pop-forward” album compared to Inmazes and Witness however equally as effective. Vola simply know how to make approachable and great music. 8/10 RJ
Midwestern prog-metal stalwarts go for the throat on their new EP, featuring a roiling cover of the Smashing Pumpkins' “1979.” Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 7, 2019

A thorough repudiation of any claim that metal music is uniformly angry / negative. Bombastic synth prog with death growls, riffs, and clean flourishes. This record always makes me smile. bloodbrulee
